The App Hop project team has hosted our virtual training event with a selection of participants representing each partner organisation. A total of 18 participants were involved in the event hosted via Zoom. These participants included a mixture of VET educators, trainers and researchers. The event was originally scheduled to take place at Lancaster and Morecambe College in the UK, but as a result of the pandemic it had to be moved online.
The event was an opportunity for the team to share our final versions of the suite of 120 Digital Breakout Challenges and use the In-Service Training Manual to train the participants in how to utilise the projects resources with the target audiences. The resources were accessed via the App Hop website and e-learning space which are the main points of contact for the project and provide free access to all of the open educational resources.
The participants will now progress on to implement a piloting phase and train a further 10 vocational teachers and 10 vocational learners over the coming months. This process will be monitored by the consortium as we gather constructive feedback and make any necessary alterations to our OERs.
